Are we in the last days?

It seems the older I get the more I realize the end of time is at hand. Maybe it is just for me but over the seven decades I have been alive I have seen and heard of the many Bible prophecies being fulfilled. I read with interest what the Bible has to say about the end times, and I wonder just how long God is going to allow this sinful world to continue.

For me and my generation it may not be long, but I continually worry about my children, my grandchildren, and my future great grandchildren. What does the future hold for them? As I look back over my lifetime and I see the changes made and the inventions that have come about, I ask myself what else will God allow until He says enough is enough. I am not saying that new things and inventions are not good because life is much easier than it has been in the past. My point is that the world is changing, our nation is changing, and the more days we have the more our country is turning away from God, our Creator, and putting faith in other things.

I am a person who does not have a good singing voice, but I love gospel music. One of my favorite songs is “The Midnight Cry” written by Greg and Chuck Day. The words came to them one Sunday afternoon after church. The sermon title that morning was “The Midnight Cry”.
