2 Cuero volunteer firefighters receive highest accreditation

Commonly, people seek employment for the benefits and pay. With most everything else people look to see “What do I get out of it?” But for Ronnie Binz and Butch Tolbert it has nothing to do with the pay or the benefits.
Binz and Tolbert have been with the Cuero Volunteer Fire Department for 38 years in the fall.
Binz said, “I was 18 years old when I signed up. It seemed fun to do and I wanted to help the community.”
Tolbert said, “Basically, somebody has to do it. We do not do it for a pat on the back. We are not here for the praise. We appreciate someone saying ‘great job’ but that goes for the whole crew.”
