Dear Editor,
I would like someone to explain why the power charge has gone so high. My whole utility bill used to be below $300. My power charge is now close to that amount. I have lived in Cuero for a number of years. Being retired and on a fixed income, it is rather hard to keep up on bills. How are some with people with less of an income able to keep up?
Is the power charge because of the oil and gas that is in our vicinity and the growth of the city population? I am glad about the oil boom for people that have the leases. I am just a homeowner who lives in Cuero. I am almost sure that I am not the only person with this problem.
