3 arrested on assault charges

Three people were arrested in Cuero last week on assault charges in unrelated incidents.

Captain Steven Ellis said a 69-year-old female was assaulted early last week in the 500 block of North Terry. The incident occurred about 11:45 p.m. Arrested Friday and charged with felony injury to the elderly was Kimberly Briscoe, 35, of Cuero.
On Sept. 9 around 3 p.m. in the 500 block of West Morgan, a woman was struck in the face apparently with a pan during an argument with her boyfriend. She was treated at Cuero Community Hospital. 
When officers approached the residence where the assault occurred, the man attempted to flee. He was caught a few blocks away. German Perez, 24, of Cuero was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon - family violence, felony.
Around 9 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the 600 block of Woodworth, officers were called to investigate a disturbance. A 26-year-old woman was an assault victim. She had been struck in the face and went to CCH for treatment. She was sent to a hospital in San Antonio for additional treatment.
Christopher Rodriguez, 27, of Cuero was arrested Wednesday in Nixon and charged with aggravated assault - family violence.
