No foreseeable rains in Yorktown's future

The Texas Drought continues with 95.86 percent of the state feeling the effects of the drought from abnormally to exceptional dryness levels. State levels are as follows: 87.12 percent of the state is moderate to exceptionally dry; 65.59 percent of the state is severe or exceptionally dry; 21.79 percent of Texas is extremely or exceptionally dry; 2.62 percent is exceptionally dry.
Theses statistics were released Thursday, Sept. 12 by a consortium of the NOAA, NWS, NCEP, and the CPC. (http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/DM_state.htm?TX,S).
Lake Travis and Lake Buchanan are currently at 32 percent of their capacity.
In the Guadalupe River Basin, the Canyon Reservoir is at 77 percent of capacity. Comal Springs is 43 percent of the monthly norm; San Marcos Springs is at 64 percent; the Guadalupe River at Victoria is 13 percent of norm; and the San Antonio River at Goliad is at 43 percent of norm.
