What should have been a Wildcat victory was denied as Nixon-Smiley took advantage of Yorktown errors and won 28-12 last Friday at the Wildcat Stadium.
In the first quarter the Wildcat defense limited the Mustangs to 10 plays and 55 yards rushing. Defensive back Jacob Garcia had an interception and defensive lineman Reagan Billings recovered a Mustang fumble.
The Wildcat offense came out strong and in control. From Garcia’s interception the offense ran nine running plays to take the lead 6-0.
