Wildcats (6-6) working out the kinks on court


The Yorktown Wildcats played at home against Luling on Dec. 10 and lost 40-55.
Luling, though quick and more experienced started out taking the lead over the Wildcats 6-18 in the first period. Yorktown made some good plays but lacked in rebounds and were not assertive in their passes causing many turnovers.
At the beginning of the second period Jacob Garcia made back-to-back plays with a three pointer and then stealing the ball from Luling and added two more on the score board with a layup. However, the Wildcats made many poor passes and were nowhere under the basket for rebounds on both sides of the court. The period ended 15-34.
