The 30th Anniversary Miss Cuero Pageant, sponsored by the Cuero Chamber of Commerce Agriculture & Visitor’s Center, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at the Cuero High School cafeteria.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary, pageant director Miranda McMahan Adams, 2006 Miss Cuero, will also be this years’ pageant emcee.
This year 60 girls will compete for the titles of Little Miss Cuero, Young Miss Cuero, Junior Miss Cuero, and the coveted crown of Miss Cuero. Contestants have been attending rehearsals for the past two weeks and are in top competing form thanks to Adams and this year’s team of pageant chaperones.
The Chamber would like to stress that the Miss Cuero Pageant is not only a beauty pageant, but a scholarship program as well. The contestant who is crowned 2014 Miss Cuero will receive a $1,200 scholarship at the end of her high school career to further her education at the college or university of her choice. The success of the Chamber’s annual World Series of Cuero Fundraiser has helped raise the scholarship amount this year.
The Chamber would like to invite all former Miss Cuero title holders to be a guest at this year’s pageant. Those who plan to attend are asked to call the Chamber for a ticket. All past Miss Cuero Crown holders will be announced during the evening.
Pageant tickets may be purchased at the Chamber office. General seating tickets are $7 per person. Children 4 and under are admitted free.
For more information call the Chamber office at 275-2112.
