Road repair equipment, emergency notification system, aerial fireworks ban and traffic control were key topics at Thursday’s DeWitt County Commissioners Court meeting.
Repairing damaged county roads is a common topic at court meetings these days. However, Pct. 2 Commissioner James Pilchiek reported the shared asphalt distribution truck is “out of commission.”
He said after multiple repairs and lost time, a new road repair truck is needed. After reviewing estimates on the item, Pilchiek said a new one can be obtained for about $168,000 and delivered fairly quickly.
