Gobblers drop district matchup vs Pleasanton

Despite coming away with a loss, 81- 62 to Pleasanton, the Gobblers never showed signs of letting up.

“That’s one thing I keep saying,” coach Clint Coles said of his team’s effort. “It’s a credit to our kids, because it doesn’t matter the situation, the score, whatever. We go as hard as we can. Our effort is never something you can question.”

Cuero looked to be turning a corner during the last two games against Somerset and Beeville before hosting the Pleasanton Eagles, but inconsistency on both ends proved costly for the Gobblers.
