65th wedding anniversary

Milo Reamy, an Oregon resident, met Marion Christensen vacationing, a Minnesota school teacher, while he was stationed at Hamilton AFB in California in July 1950; it was love at first sight, and they were married Sept. 5, 1950.

Unfortunately, the Korean war broke out and within 30 days Milo's bomber unit was sent to Japan and the honeymoon was delayed 18 months before his enlistment expired, and he could come home. He was sent to San Antonio for discharge and as neither cared to return to their home state decided to try and make Texas their home. Employment was obtained in San Antonio and within two months, they were sent to Victoria where they resided until 1956.
