Ray Karm

Ray Carrol Karm was born on Sept. 30, 1927, in Cuero to Willie and Beulah Karm and passed away on Jan. 6, 2016, in Houston. He was a successful contractor for more than 40 years, most of that time living in Corpus Christi. He married Louise Idell Rollin on Jan. 6, 1945, and together they had two sons, Rick and Mike. Ray felt that a man’s most important asset was his word and he lived that every day of his life. He loved hunting and fishing, but he would sacrifice success to make the trip a learning experience for his two sons. He built custom rifles and loved to spend time in his shop with woodworking projects for family and friends. He was also a huge dog lover, having had several during his lifetime.

For those that knew him well, the biggest love of his life was his wife, Louise, who passed away in 2007. Ray passed away on what would have been their 71st wedding anniversary. He was enormously kindhearted and friendly and never met a stranger.
