It may have been a cold, nasty, wet and messy day outside last week, but it was just the opposite inside Cuero Nursing and Rehab Center. Thanks to the cute fur babies that Pet Adoptions of Cuero brought for an afternoon visit in celebration of February's National Pet Adoption Day.
In no time the perky, cuddly pups warmed up the resident's hearts and laps. Watching the pups frolic on the floor, tossing them squeak toys or inviting them to come close for some pets and love - it was a fun afternoon.
The pups - JULIE and RIO loved being fussed over by the seniors and the staff. Now in its 14th year of operation, PAOC is more than just an adoption and rescue facility - interaction in the community with both the young and the old is a plus. And PAOC loves seniors!
