Betsy Jo Buch

Betsy Jo Buch, 75, of San Antonio went to her eternal resting place in heaven on Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was born April 2, 1949 in Cuero to William Henry and Lorene Gatlin Buch. She was a retired, registered nurse for many years. Betsy became a part of the American Association of Medical Record Librarians as an accredited record technician on September 13, 1968. She became a registered nurse and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Dominican College in September of 1973. She then went on to get a Master of Science degree from the University of Colorado on August 19, 1978.

Betsy loved to travel. She enjoyed going on cruises and experiencing life and all it had to offer. She had many dog companions in her life with the most recent dog being Sam.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Martha Lorene Buch and Anita Jean Causey and her brother, William David Buch.

She is survived by her six nieces, Tammy Boehl (Bill), Anna Arnim (Morris), Lettie Hudgeons (Tiffany), Georgia Cessor (Grover), Susan Ocker (Matt), Cheri Stone (Matt); eighteen great nieces and nephews as well as thirty great-great nieces and nephews and many close friends whom she viewed as family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Cuero. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Bill Boehl, Matt Ocker, Grover Cessor, Matt Stone, Morris Arnim and Will Buch.

Honorary pallbearers include her many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
