Each morning when I get up and start stirring around one of the first things I try to do is catch up on the news of the country. Being retired from the media business I fully understand that the national news that comes across the air waves or through the printed word has become more and more opinion pieces than factual news.
We do have some good journalists that report the facts but we have so many socalled journalists that report to the public the news with twisted facts and their opinions mixed in. This is what the world is crying for and it is a shame that we, the general public, is allowing it to go on.
Not only in the news media but in our family conversations, school functions, church meetings, and other non-national events we are allowing opinions to rule over the truth. Many marriages are torn apart due to lack of truthful information to each other. It seems that little white lies have become the norm and is being taught to our youth and children that it is okay to twist the truth.
Interference from the government on how to run schools has ruined some good educational systems.
The rules and regulations that have been put on teachers have hindered them from expressing themselves in the best interest of the children. The teachers have lost the ability to use their common sense in situations that could be easily solved.
Colleges have so many liberal professors that are teaching anti-Christian and anti-American garbage and the schools are allowing them to get away with it. I am not saying that college students should not learn about society and how it is to be treated but the facts and realization should not be tainted one way or the other.
Many of our churches are depending on books from the public to be used as guidelines for running the church. Many pastors have become the controlling factors of how church people should act and react to certain situations. Some have become dictators and don’t listen to what the people are saying. These pastors and churches have set the Bible on the backseat in their everyday thinking even though they preach from it, sometimes, from the pulpit on Sunday.
The facts of all of this are a lack of communication between people. Marriages can be severely damaged without trust in each other, as well as government officials, school leaders, and church leaders.
Proper communication with each other depends on speaking the truth and honoring those you speak to.
There are many who claim to be a Christian, however straying from the Bible and the truth it displays, puts people in situations that are hard to overcome. We are told in Hebrews 3:13, “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today’, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
The truth always produces good communication. Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior and let Him guide you in daily activities? If not go to your knees today and ask Him to lead you and guide you in all that you do. This will be an inspiration to you to always be an example to others and will always lead you in your communication.
