Dear Editor,
I am Lynda Owens of Golden Crescent CASA. Our service is to help children in the foster care system to navigate their way through, and also to be their voice in the courts. It shows them there are people that care for them when life is confusing to them.
In the year 2024, CASA served 30 children and 19 families from DeWitt County. Eight children have no volunteers. There are only five active volunteers, so we borrow volunteers from the surrounding counties. We need volunteers in your community. Sounds like something you may be interested in?
