Local history lovers gathered at the English German School House on March 23 to hear readings from the newly translated “History of DeWitt County 1899,” by C.H. Waltersdorf. Originally written in German, the DWC Historical Commission engaged Dr. James Kearney, historian, author and professor of Germanic Studies at University of Texas to translate the text.
