Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor: We celebrated Farm Day at the Cuero Boys and Girls Club on July 24th. The purpose was to educate the children on the importance of farming and ranching in our community. We would like to thank the following presenters: Joe Adams telling about the Chisholm Trail, Sylvia Jacob with chickens, Janice Ohrt with agriculture, and Richard and Randall Reveria with their honey bees. Kathy Dunn and I told about growing up on a dairy farm, raising Beefmaster cattle and the importance of beef. We would also like to thank Karyn Elder and Linda Kickendahl for helping. Special thanks to Farm Bureau for donating Farm Activity Books.

As we celebrate our 10th birthday at the Boys and Girls Club, we would like to thank the community for their continued support of our citizens of tomorrow.
