The Cuero Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture will present the annual Ag Luncheon on Wednesday, April 23, featuring distinguished speakers and industry leaders discussing the latest in agriculture, energy, and economic impact.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Jeffrey W. Savell, Vice Chancellor and Dean of Texas A&M AgriLife College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Dr. Savell is a passionate advocate for agriculture and its role in shaping communities. He believes in the power of collaboration.
'I always say, ‘We're in the people business,’ “ Savell said. “And this year’s National Ag Day theme, ‘Agriculture: Together We Grow,’ couldn’t be more fitting for that sentiment. At Texas A&M AgriLife, we focus on more than just research, education, and innovation — we focus on people. Agriculture thrives because of the farmers, ranchers, scientists, educators, and industry leaders who work together to create a stronger future for everyone.'
Attendees will also hear from Tiffany Cotledge, Public Engagement Coordinator for the Railroad Commission of Texas, and Travis Baer, District Director at the San Antonio District Office and Regional Director of Field Operations (South Region) for the Railroad Commission of Texas. Additionally, Cooper Little, Executive Director of the Independent Cattlemen’s Association (ICA), will share insights into the cattle industry and its future.
The event will take place on April 23 at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, located at 501 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Cuero, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
