Strength comes from God By Gary Andrews [email protected] How many of us really rely on our faith in God to get us through difficult situations? I know I have called on Him many times and He has given me insight to handle problems that I have encountered. Many will say this is foolishness, but I will tell you my faith in Him grows stronger and stronger because I know He lives and gives me strength to handle anything.

Strength comes from God By Gary Andrews [email protected]

How many of us really rely on our faith in God to get us through difficult situations? I know I have called on Him many times and He has given me insight to handle problems that I have encountered. Many will say this is foolishness, but I will tell you my faith in Him grows stronger and stronger because I know He lives and gives me strength to handle anything. One of my favorites verses in the Bible is Philippians 4:13; “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” My wish is that our nation would once again turn to God and trust Him to be our guide and control our future. It would be tremendous if the people of this nation would turn away from the horrors of what our nation is supporting and put their trust and allegiance into what God has given us. God allows Satan to run rampant throughout the earth and try to turn all the people against Him. The same is happening when God allowed Satan to ruin the life of Job, however Job would not deny the existence or the authority of our Lord. So many of the people of today do not have the patience or the fortitude that Job possessed. He did not take his eyes of off God and trusted Him to bring him through the difficult times. The Lord brought Job through all the troubles that he faced and blessed him again. Many of our problems we as a nation are facing are from allowing non-believers to get into our government offices and spread their beliefs on our Christian nation. Our people of today are not as staunch as earlier times and much of this is because of the electronic social media influence. As a nation, we are allowing many to lead us away from God with promises that man makes but cannot uphold.

We are told in Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might.” (NKJV) Christians know that Satan’s power is already broken. If one would read 2 Timothy 2:1 you would understand the war with Satan was won when Christ died for us through His crucifixion and resurrection. This conquered sin and death forever, even though the battles of temptation go on regularly. God is our strength and will always be there for us if we talk with Him and ask for guidance. I firmly believe that God is taking us through an awakening of what is going on in the world today. I am in my seventh decade of life on earth and the year 2020 has been one of the strangest I have ever witnessed. I realize that the Covid-19 pandemic is horrible and has taken its toll on our nation. I also realize that the magnitude of this problem, as dangerous as it is, has been politically enhanced. Many have tried to extinguish this problem, but few have relied on the Lord God and talked to Him about it. I do believe Christians have talked to Jesus concerning the pandemic and continue asking Him to relieve our nation of this burden. He will take care of us and see us through this situation. We must have the patience and belief that Job had and realize that God is our strength and only His power and guidance will see us through.
