JV Track on top at District Meet
LAURA P ATEK contributing writer The JV Girls Track Team pulled out a commanding victory scoring 208 points to second place Gonzales with 136. The following ladies scored points for the win at the district meet: Discus: Katie McElroy 1st, Lexie Herrera 5th, Grace Becker 6th Shotput: Avalynn Rodriguez 1st, Emma Flores 2nd, Amari Rodriguez 5th Long Jump: Ashlyn Gamez 1st, Laelah Mendiola 2nd, Joy Gajewsky 4th 4 x 100 Relay: 1st Bailey Staten, Brooklyn Bland, Keely Bryan, Ashlyn Gamez 800: Harper Staten 2nd, Julia Aleman 6th 100 Hurdles: Brianne Lopez 3rd, Jayla Garcia 5th, Ava Taylor 6th 100: Brooklyn Bland 1st, Laelah Mendiola 2nd.
