Easter egg hunt brings joy to nursing home

The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce proudly partnered with the Yorktown Nursing Home for this year’s Community- Wide Easter Egg Hunt on April 12. Residents enjoyed watching local children search for colorful eggs from the comfort of a covered patio, with the Easter Bunny and Rowdy Rooster spreading joy. These moments brought happiness to the residents, making it the highlight of the day.

We thank Trust Texas Bank for providing cookies and Skinny’s Fireworks for donating golden egg prizes and raffle items. Every participating child received a raffle ticket, with winning numbers announced afterward. Yorktown Nursing Home provided juice and donuts for all, and the Yorktown Class of 2025 Project Graduation held a bake sale. Special thanks to the nursing home residents, who filled most of the Easter eggs, along with the Yorktown Lions Club and Gannon and Kambree Norrell.

This event showcased the essence of our community—people of all ages coming together to create lasting memories and joy.
