The descendants of Friedrick and Wilhelmine Wieland held their 2025 reunion on April 12 at the Yorktown Fire Station Hall. Sixteen families were represented. A delicious lunch was shared. Alan and Jenne Buchhorn provided the main dish.
The oldest man in attendance was David Ibrom. The oldest lady was Iona Buchhorn. The youngest attendee was Noah Bolting. The longest married couple in attendance was Carton and Sandra Bolting. Most recently married were Bob and Laura Wieland. Jennifer Bolting, T.J. & Chyanne Boyd from Hearn, Texas, traveled farthest.
The passing of Harlan Brieger, Cynthia Straight, Wanda Wieland, Janie Metting, Phil Rosprim, and Quinten Metting were marked by a moment of silence.
The officers for the 2027 reunion will be: President Don Wieland, Vice-president Sandra Bolting, Secretary/ treasurer Barbara Agan.
Visiting was enjoyed by all in attendance. Family members and friends mark your calendars and make plans to attend the next reunion on Saturday, April 10, 2027, at the Yorktown Fire Station.
