Friends of Nordheim hosts 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Friends of Nordheim held their 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Nordheim Jubilee Park on Saturday, April 19. Hunters, ages preschool to fourth grade, registered for door prizes and hunted for more than 2,462 plastic eggs.

The Friends of Nordheim held their 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Nordheim Jubilee Park on Saturday, April 19. Hunters, ages preschool to fourth grade, registered for door prizes and hunted for more than 2,462 plastic eggs.

Each hunter was asked to pick up thirty plastic eggs to celebrate the 38th Anniversary of the Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

The plastic eggs contained candy and coupons that were donated by local merchants and generous individuals. Sixty-five children and students signed up to hunt. Seven children, Grades 5 through 13-year-olds, registered for door prizes and were allowed to pick-up due to the overabundance of eggs. A special appearance was made by Penny Cottontail; she was able to stay long enough to take photographs with the children and their families before retreating back to the Mrs. Nordheim’s Garden.

Five babies attended and were photographed for their “First Easter” pictures: Lincoln Malcolm, Beau Malcolm, Lauren Watson, Izzy Bell, and Gabrizlla Bell.

In the Kindergarten and younger division, the eligible 41 door prize winners were: Morgan Arguellez, Rylie Butler, Addie Castillo, Marcus Castillo, Maverick Caves, Elliot Ckodre, Noah Ckodre, Lucy Cortez, June Drehr, Grant Dueser, Henry Dueser, Cam Gallegos, Casen Grier, Gaven Guinn, Madi Hale, Watson Holland, Wells Holland, Kody Ingram, Ryler Jacob, Avery Janssen, Raelynn Lange, Clayce Lewis, Dominic Lopez, Nina Lopez, Brantley Malcolm, Haizlee Pfeifer, Wrenlee Pfeifer, Hunter Perez, Eli Pierce, Carter Reynolds, Colson Reynolds, Easton Reynolds, Bryler Rodriquez, Emeriss Rodriquez, Brooklyn Saunders, Julia Sweeney, Daxon Villannueva, Tres Villannueva, Tierlen Villarreal, Bryce Warwas, and Lauren Watson.

In the Grade 1 and 2 division, the eligible 17 door prize winners were: Riley Arguellez, Paityn Banda, Madylenna Castillo, Fredrick Dueser, Liam Gonzales, Luke Gonzales, Oliva Hale, Harper Holland, Ella Holland, Pailsley Lemon, Christian Nunez, Adalynn Perez, Hazel Perez, Ray Perez, Kati Philippe, Braelynn Torrez, and Avery Watson.

In the Grade 3 and 4 division, the eligible 14 door prize winners were: Arryanna Castillo, Marcus Caves, Lillian Kennedy, Xandy John, Paylyn Longoria, Ezrah Lopez, Kambree Norrell, Emerson Reynolds, Hanna Saunders, Grayson Torres, Evelyn Villanueva, Oliva Villanueva, Aileen Warwas, and Amzie Warwas.

In the Grade 5 to thirteen-year-old division, the eligible seven door prize and egg picker- uppers were: Shelby Arguellez, Blake Banda, Rylin Gonzales, Xander John, Gannon Norrell, Gracelyn Schendel, and Ellyn Warwas.

When it was all said and done, each registered child and 30 parents left with an EGG door prize. Children were allowed to pick up any left-over eggs.

The Nordheim Garden Club displayed many beautiful flower arrangements. All homemade refreshments and bake sale items sold out. Thanks to everyone for their support.
