Culinary students' talents going to the DOGS

It's no secret that one of the most newsworthy and successful courses this year at Cuero High School are the culinary classes taught by Mrs. Laura Notaro. These culinary students have been featured in the news for creating desserts at high profile events, creating menus for charity functions and even providing dinner fare for city council.

But wait a minute - here's an event that takes the PUP cake! Mrs. Notaro shared her love for cooking and love for pets to develop this special vet approved recipe to be baked up in a dog bone shaped biscuit. In two days the students were able to make 1400 biscuits and package them into treat portions. Then they took it a step further and decided to make it a fund raiser for the non profit shelter Pet Adoptions of Cuero.

Three culinary classes participated in this 'barking' bake off resulting in more than 200 bags of pet treats to sell - and sell they did! The fundraiser brought in $1,180.00 in sales and the entire 100% amount was donated to PAOC.
