Many years ago, my wife’s uncle made the statement, “There is no God!” He was asked why he would say something like this, he replied, “that if there was a God there would not be all the chaos the world is experiencing today.”
He was basing his decision on the fact that God gives us choices. It is sad to say that some people in the world today have decided that there is no God despite everything they can see around them.
In September 2020, my wife and I had the opportunity of traveling and witnessing firsthand God’s creation in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado. Seeing the Midwest plains, the majestic mountains, the beautiful canyons, and valleys left little doubt that God created this earth. The imagination that the earth was formed by any other source, as some scientist would have you believe, is unconscionable.
The beauty of this earth along with the formation of the rocks, trees, and the colors of the landscape left little doubt in my mind that God is alive and in control. During the time we were enjoying God’s creation, He was allowing a hurricane to come in on the gulf coast bringing winds and rain that caused considerable damage.
Many of the population today have rejected the teachings of God and gone back to the biblical days of when God’s people rejected Him. In those days God punished His people because of their lack of respect toward of Him. I do not believe that God is punishing us today but reminding us that He is the Supreme Power, and no one can dictate or control Him. Each day when we awake and see the morning, we should thank Him for another day of life because it is, He that is allowing us to have it.
Seeing the sunshine, the rain, or maybe the clouds should let us know that this is nothing we created. The scientist and weather people will tell us why we have these days and project the future through their instruments, but they cannot dispute how it was formed, even though they try. We talk about the wind even though we cannot see it. We feel and see the effects of it, but can you say you actually see it?
We need to remember what Jesus tells us in John 3:8(NIV); “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
If anyone tells you there is no God, they are either agnostic or atheist. God is everywhere. He will listen to your prayers, He will answer your prayers, and He will guide you a direction you need to go.
My wife and I have been blessed through our travels. We have seen many of God’s creation throughout the United States and hope to see many more before He calls us home.

He will make a difference in your life and you will turn away from the sins of the world. God was here in the past, He is here now, and He will be here until the end of time!
Prayer: Thank you Jesus for another day of life. Thank you for allowing me to see your majestic earth and all the beauty that you have created. Amen.
