On Thursday, May 15, an altercation broke out between inmates at Cuero’s Clarence N. Stephenson Unit.
According to Dr. Amanda Hernandez, director of communications at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, one inmate was injured and transported via life flight for medical care. The inmate is in stable condition.
The incident took place the same week that a new warden started at Stephenson. Michael Feazell’s first day was Monday, May 12. City leaders visited with Feazell on Tuesday, welcoming him to town.
