Dear Editor, The members of Dinter Post 3 of the American Legion wish to express our appreciation to the Cuero community for its tremendous support of our Armed Forces Day BBQ chicken fundraiser, Saturday, May 17th. We were gratified by the turnout of people who purchased chickens, and we are especially grateful to the businesses and individuals who sponsored our fundraiser with donations. These sponsors included DeWitt County Co-Op, Leske Oil Company, The Pecan House, GVEC, State Farm Insurance, Diamond K Services, and Square E Security Storage. The post also received a very generous monetary donation from an individual donor who wishes to remain anonymous.
Our heartfelt thanks to all who supported this fundraiser which will underwrite our programs to support those in our community who served our nation in the uniforms of America’s armed forces.
