Benjamin Ahrens, Cuero class of 2004, first year coaching at Roundtop- Carmine, led them to the regional finals in 1A baseball. After a hard fought season, they found themselves District 26 1A champs. In Bi-district, they beat Hull-Daisetta in two games. Then, they beat Medina in three exciting games to be area champs. They played Spurgerin regional semifinals winning in two games. The regional finals were played in Brenham with RTC meeting county neighbor Fayetteville where they lost in two games. After a surprising season, RTC had eight players make all-district. One of the players making all-district is Kash wessels, grandson of Clarence and Pat Wessels.
