Helen Hysquierdo Trevino, 64, of Cuero passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024. She was born May 21, 1960 in Calhoun County to Margarito and Triene Hysquierdo Trevino.
She enjoyed crocheting, eating out and collecting photos of her close friends and family. Helen could always be found across the street enjoying time with her neighbor, Hilda, who became her lifelong friend. No matter the struggles or distance, she was always ready to attend the next Gonzales holiday, birthday, lunch date, etc... She was always so full of joy and laughter.
A very special thanks to the staff at Daybreak Community Services in San Angelo for the love, care and compassion you provided to Helen over the years.
She is survived by her sisters, Beatrice Trevino, Irene Armenta, Mary Esther Salazar, Josie Bernal, Hope Willrich and Rachel Conallis; her brothers, Roy Trevino and Domingo Trevino II; her lifelong friend, aka “niece”, Hilda Gonzales; aunt, Estella Hysquierdo and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Domingo Trevino and Angel Trevino; her sisters, Molly Lopez and Virginia Gilner; and her beloved uncle, Charlie Hysquierdo, who made sure her final arrangements, would be taken care of.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 9, 2024, 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM with Father Richard Bediako officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Steven Maldonado, Robert Gonzales, John Torres, Eric Vasquez, Angelo Vasquez and Larry Vasquez.
