Healthy School Award — Yorktown Elementary School (YES) received recognition at the YISD School Board Meeting on June 16 as a Healthy South Texas Recognized School. County Extension Agent Denise Goebel presented Principal Laura Patek with the banner, making YES the first school in the region to receive the recognition.
