Yorktown Elementary School achieved the designation of a Healthy South Texas Recognized School through the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Activities like Walk Across Texas and container gardens with food prepared from it contributed to the designation. At this week’s Commissioner’s Court, the proclamation was received.
