Catholic Daughter celebrates a hundred years of birthdays

Mrs. Kathleen Ernster, a pilar of our Cuero Community just turned 100 years old. She is a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Catholic Daughter's and the St. Michael's Altar Society. Both the Catholic Daughter's and the Altar Society honored her with cake and punch following the Saturday Evening Mass. She is a beautiful example of what it is to live a Christian life. She has served our community in many various ways as well as always being a dedicated member to our church and school. In 2022 she was the 'Distinguished Alumni' from St. Michael's Catholic School and recognized by Bishop Cahill. She has been a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Daughter's for over 80 years, having received an 80 year membership pin this year. On an interesting note, Mrs. Ernster was the confirmation sponsor for Sister Elizabeth Riebschlaeger.
