RWOYA organize donations for flood victims

The Republican Women of the Yoakum Area organized a donations collection for the victims of the flooding in Kerr County, at their meeting on July 9. Yoakum organizations providing donated supplies include The Republican Women of the Yoakum Area members, New Life Baptist Church members, The Shape Shop Fitness and Wellness Center, and The Yoakum Food Pantry. The RWOYA membership extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Yoakum organizations who contributed to the donation effort. Abby Hill from Hallettsville, Texas will be delivering the donations to the Salvation Army in Kerrville, Texas. RWOYA supports Texas Communities through leadership, civic engagement, education, and community service.

RWOYA is a Republican women’s organization, with men as associate members, from Lavaca, Gonzales, and DeWitt Counties. Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Yoakum Community Center, 105 Huck St., Yoakum. Lunch is served and freewill donations appreciated. Program Speakers focus on political topics. The RWOYA Mission is to educate voters and support Republican Candidates. Visitors are encouraged and welcomed to attend.
