Residents in the area of the 400 block of Frederick Williams were urged to leave the area on August 5 until gas leak repairs were made. According to Cuero Police Chief Steven Ellis, a contractor hit the line. First responders on the scene contacted residents along the street and kept traffic out for the few hours during repairs.
