Celebrating the success of Cuero’s First Savor the Flavor & Style Event
Dear Editor: The Cuero Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who helped make our firstever Savor the Flavor & Style of Cuero such a wonderful success! On Thursday, August 7, more than 150 guests gathered at the Cuero VFW Hall for an evening filled with delicious food, fashionable styles, and incredible community spirit.
A huge thank you to our food and drink participants for sharing their amazing flavors: Cuero Pecan House, Cuero Pecan House Cafe,́ KB’S BBQ, 5D Tavern and 5D Steak House, Mad Batter Cheesecakes, The EVThing, Werner’s, Ventura’s Tamales, and Maya Mexican Restaurant. Congratulations to our winners: KB’S BBQ for Best Appetizer and Best Soup/Salad, 5D Tavern for Best Cocktail, and Cuero Pecan House for both Best Main Dish and Best Dessert.
The evening also featured a lively Style Show highlighting our local boutiques, including Be. Boutique, Rendezvous, A Special Stitch, Friends on Main, Classy B’s, June’s Pearl’s, and Leather Creations/TX Soule by Renee Wilke. Congratulations to Be. Boutique, winner of Best in Style Show!
We would also like to thank our event sponsors for helping bring this exciting new event to life: Bud & Sissy’s, Rae, Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum, Wagner’s Hardware & Gifts, Bush’s Chicken, and the Cuero Development Corporation. Special thanks to Shane Wilke with Shane & Renee Total Entertainment for emceeing and keeping the energy high all evening, and to the VFW Hall for providing a great venue.
Finally, heartfelt appreciation goes to our Savor the Flavor committee ambassadors, our dedicated committee chairs Annette Rath and Teri Warwas, and all of our volunteers, board members, and guests. Your support and hard work made our first Savor the Flavor & Style of Cuero a night to remember. We look forward to building on this success and can’t wait to see you all next year!
