RecordViewPoints Republicans gerrymandered DeWitt County against our will
What the heck?! Monica de la Cruz, Republican from the Rio Grande Valley, is now our Congressional Representative. We did not vote for her. While toting herself as the Srst Latina Republican from Texas in Congress, what we care about is whether she will have success in solving our problems in DeWitt County. She has been in ofSce since 2022 and has been the primary sponsor of only one bill. And that bill was to study a problem. We need someone who will work to lower the cost of living and make housing affordable. This means rethinking tariffs and rethinking the removal of undocumented workers who are essential workers. This includes workers in the construction, ranching, farming, and oil industry, the later three key to our DeWitt county economy. We do not want ICE removing essential workers from our county. And what has she done to make the Trump administration release ALL of the Epstein Sles? Why is she, espe-cially as a woman, allowing for the coverup of perverted rich and powerful men and Maxwell abusing children. Even Republican women who are victims to Epstein and Maxwell have stepped forward. We need someone in Congress who will work against sexual abuse and not hide it.
