Capital Farm Credit awarded a $1,000 grant to Cuero’s Downtown Artisan Market on Main this fall.

Cuero was one of nine Texas cities receiving the farmers market grants through the company’s Farmers Market Grant Program. The annual grants are intended to strengthen infrastructure, expand outreach, and increase access to fresh, locally grown food.

Main Street Director Sandra Tague Osman said the grant will go toward promoting the ongoing annual event that takes place under the Library Market Pavilion and runs from March through October on the fourth Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each year, a new banner is created for the market along with rack cards to hand out to visitors to attract them to the event, she noted.
