RTICLE BPX Energy, a subsidiary of global energy company BP, has contributed $2,500 to become one of Cuero ISD Education Foundation’s proud sponsors of the 2025 Concert for Classrooms.
BPX Energy, headquartered in Denver, Colo., is a leading U.S. onshore oil and gas exploration and production company. Operating primarily in the Permian, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville basins across Texas and Louisiana, BPX is known for its commitment to innovation— the “X” in its name symbolizes its drive to explore new ideas and technologies to enhance operations.
The Foundation is thrilled to host the Concert for Classrooms on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Cuero ISD Performing Arts Center. This annual event not only brings the community together for an evening of entertainment, but also helps support the Foundation’s mission.
A portion of the proceeds from the concert will be used to fund grants for Cuero ISD faculty and staff—providing resources, projects, and programs that fall outside the scope of traditional school funding— while the remaining funds help sustain other Foundation initiatives throughout the year.
Darwin Koenning, Foundation President, and Doris Breeden, Vice President of Programs, were present to accept BPX Energy’s generous donation.
“We are deeply grateful for the continued support from sponsors like BPX Energy,” said Koenning. “Over the years, the generosity and support of sponsors have played a vital role in advancing the mission of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation. Their continued commitment— both past and present—has helped create meaningful educational opportunities for students and staff alike. Sponsorships like these enable us to fund innovative programs, provide essential resources, and support projects that go beyond traditional school funding. We are deeply grateful to every sponsor who stands with us in this effort and helps make events like the Concert for Classrooms possible.”
Tickets go on sale to the public on Sept. 29, and it’s not too late to become a sponsor. For more information, visit www.cueroedfoundation. org/concert-forclassrooms, email info@cueroedfoundation. org, or call 361275-4628.
