Western Days almost here

RTICLE Time’s flying faster than a rodeo bull, and the countdown to the 67th Annual Yorktown Western Days is on! This beloved tradition doesn’t “just happen” the third weekend of October— it’s the result of countless hours of planning, scheduling, and heart.

But the real magic? That comes from our sponsors and volunteers. Without their dedication, Western Days wouldn’t be possible. We tip our hats to each and every one of you!

Kiddie Parade kicks things off on Friday, October 17th at 6 p.m. and the festival wraps up on Sunday, October 19th after the cookoff winners are announced.

Live Music starts Friday Night with Nathan Colt Young from 8:30 p.m to Midnight. Saturday the Drew Oliver Band plays from 1 to 4:30 p.m. with Devin Michaels performs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jarrod Birmingham takes the stage at 7 p.m. followed by Wynn Williams at 9 p.m. Saturday night headliner Stoney LaRue claims the stage at 11 p.m. Sunday the Legendary David Frizzell will be on stage from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Shane & Renee of Total Entertainment will keep the music flowing all weekend long.

The Carnival will be open on Thursday, October 16th from 5 pm to 10 pm. Friday carnival hours are 5 pm to midnight, Saturday, noon to midnight, and Sunday noon to 6 pm. A oneday pass is $25 while a three-day pass is $60. Tickets are available at all four banks in town and the Western Days office located at 141 So Riedel St.
