Do you have a child that is currently age 5 and in Kindergarten through 12th grade? Did you know that they can be a member of DeWitt County 4-H?
Join us Thursday, August 29th, 2024, from 5pm-7pm at the Anne Friar Homemaking Building in the City Park for our 2nd Annual Ice Cream Social Event.
This event is open to the public who are interested in enrolling their children in the 4-H program. Clover Kids is our introductory 4-H program for kids that are 5 years old and in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This program focuses on Food and Nutrition Projects and our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Projects. We meet once a month for one hour.
Our regular 4-H enrollment is for kids 8 years old and in 3rd grade-12th grade. There are 43 different 4-H projects to choose from in the Texas 4-H program, which means showing an animal is not your only option! Our projects are based on and around Agriculture and Livestock, Family and Community Health, Leadership and Citizenship, Natural Resources, and STEM. The new 4-H year begins September 1st and so does enrollment!
We hope to see you at our Ice Cream Social Event! We will have an ice cream sundae bar available to enjoy while you walk around and visit with 4-H clubs and our 4-H project tables. We will have project tables set up showcasing some of our 4-H projects like Shotgun, Archery, Healthy Texas, Food and Nutrition, Livestock Projects, Livestock Judging, and Wildlife and Fisheries to name a few!
Starting September 1st, to sign your child up for 4-H, please visit: v2.4honline.com Enrollment is $10 for Clover Kids and $25 for 4-H members.
