We are told in the gospel of Matthew that one nation will rise against another. We are told there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. We are told many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. Think about it people, all of this is happening today.
I firmly believe that the Lord is telling us to be ready for He could call us home at any time. All one must do is pay attention to the newspapers, electronic media, and social media to see and hear the rhetoric being spread today. Nations are revolting against one another and threatening one another. The middle east is in turmoil.
Our Christian nation is caught in the middle of it. We are allowing some of our elected politicians try and lead us in a path of turmoil and destruction. We have allowed so many non-Christian groups to gain relevance and lead many of our young down a road of immorality, deceit, and no respect.
As I read from some of Billy Graham’s teachings, undeniable one of the best and most spiritual evangelists to ever live, I am, as he was, concerned that we are living in the last times. We are told in Romans 13:12; “The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”
Graham pointed out what Jesus told his disciples. He said that He would come back to establish His Kingdom, but before this could take place, certain things would have to happen. All one must do is look around and see that many of these things are happening today. Jesus said that before His return the gospel must be preached throughout the world. Until now this has been impossible but through radio, the internet, and other means of communication it is possible in today’s world.
Graham also said that Satan’s final attempt to halt God’s work is through a massive onslaught of evil.
God’s enemies now have access to modern weapons of mass destruction, and no one can predict what the outcome will be. Jesus told us in Matthew 24:6-7, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars…Nation will rise against nation.”
False prophets are in the world today telling us their message. Millions upon millions of people are buying into their propaganda and being led astray from the truth of what God’s Word tells us. These people are using God’s name as a source of their favorability and ultimately to their income and wealth.
All of us need to be aware of the wolves in sheep clothing! In Matthew 7:15 we are told; “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”
As Christians, we see the world in a state of turmoil and full of false prophets. Much of our news in the print media, electronic media, and on social media point out the evil things that are happening. False prophets are alive and well in the media as well, telling and selling us their versions of a prosperity gospel. The world is full of evil because Satan has control of it.
Very few of these outlets tell of the good news of Jesus and that we should be ready for His return at any time. Our only hope and salvation of eternal life is to put our faith and trust in Jesus and commit our lives to His work and teachings. Should you not know the Saving Grace of Jesus, will you accept Him into your heart today?
Prayer: Thank you Lord for another day of life on this earth that you gave us. I pray that I will use this day to spread your good news of salvation and eternal life. Amen.
