Just want to share our typical every day call to the shelter. And these calls happen many times a day as well as texts and inquiries searching for the latest “hot” breed of canine or puppy. You know, those designer dog breeds that the celebrities love to carry in their Louis Vuitton handbags.

PAOC may not have the latest, most requested, classy bred canines. But they do have the best social, loving and endearing adoptable dogs and cats. Most pets at a rescue or shelter like Pet Adoptions of Cuero are a wonderful mix of several breeds.

They are big, small and in between. They do not have an attitude; most don’t require pricey grooming sessions; they may have a short tail or a long tail or a curly tail; they may have ears that stand up or flop down or are half up and half down. They come in many colors of fur, patched, spotted, half and half — some short haired, some silky and long haired. They are playful, curious, trainable and most have a face only a mother could love. But, they just want to be your forever companion — they are ready to bond to their owner and/or new family. They will even get along with your present pet — they just want a chance to be your new home buddy.

Visit the shelter soon and look for these special dogs — some old, some shy, some walk funny, some bark funny. But again, they are ready to be the most devoted and adored pets this side of the Mississippi.
