The night didn’t start off smoothly for the Lady Gobblers, as they faced an unexpected setback in the first set. Their sluggish start allowed San Antonio Memorial to seize the advantage, winning 25-23 and putting Cuero in a precarious position. However, the Lady Gobblers turned the match around in spectacular fashion. Fueled by a large crowd and a commitment to teamwork, they won the next three sets, ultimately ending Parents Night on a high note.
The leader on the court was Jessa Cox, whose offensive skill was a key factor in Cuero’s turnaround. With a jaw-dropping 26 kills, she effectively put pressure on the Minutemen’s defense, proving why she is considered one of the top area players.
