The Yorktown Wildcats continued their strong season Friday night with a commanding 60–16 victory over the Charlotte Trojans, improving to 5–1 overall and 2–0 in district play.

The Wildcats set the tone early in the first quarter when Brayden Knostman broke loose for a 65-yard touchdown run. Yorktown converted the two-point attempt to take an early 8– 0 lead. The Wildcats immediately recovered their own onside kick, with Aaron Luke pouncing on the ball to keep the momentum alive.

Moments later, Brody Metting connected with Matthew Olguin for another touchdown with 2:40 remaining in the first quarter. The twopoint conversion was good, pushing the score to 16–0. On defense, Conner Saunders delivered a key sack deep in Trojan territory, forcing Charlotte to punt from their own five-yard line.
