The Fightin’ Gobbler Band performed in the Region 12 Marching contest Oct. 18. Cuero Band Director Garrett Laird said, “The Fighting Gobbler Band has demonstrated incredible growth this year. With such a large group of rookie members who started the year with zero experience on the field, they had big shoes to fill from last year’s successes. While the band did not advance beyond the UIL Region Marching Contest (we missed it by 1) . The directors are IMMENSELY proud of each and every member. Without a doubt this group of rookies will continue to grow each year and pave a path to bigger and greater success in the years to come. We look forward to continuing our year in the stands and on stage doing what we do best: being the loudest and proudest fans of our schools, programs, and community.”
