Erwin Schuenemann

Erwin Schuenemann, 93, of Nordheim, passed away at home on August 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. Erwin was born November 22, 1930 in Nordheim to the late August and Elsa Schuenemann. Erwin was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Nordheim and was a lifelong member. He married the love of his life, Mildred Mae Wunderlich on November 25, 1956 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Nordheim.

Erwin Schuenemann, 93, of Nordheim, passed away at home on August 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. Erwin was born November 22, 1930 in Nordheim to the late August and Elsa Schuenemann. Erwin was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Nordheim and was a lifelong member. He married the love of his life, Mildred Mae Wunderlich on November 25, 1956 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Nordheim.

Erwin was in the Army and stationed in Germany. He was a member of Nordheim Fire Department, Runge VFW, and Hermanson Lodge #108. Erwin was a farmer and rancher his entire life where he was born and raised on the farm. He loved to fish.

Erwin is survived by his daughters Jeannie (Richard) Heard, Linda K Yanta, and Wanda (Tim) Cornish, son Larry Scott (Trlica) Schuenemann, 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-greatgrandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, parents, step-mother Emma Buesing Schuenemann, siblings, Amanda Atzenhoffer, Dorline Harms, Edna Sampson, and Henry Schuenemann.

Memorials can be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Nordheim, Nordheim Fire Department, or Yorktown EMS.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday, August 19, 2024 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10 am Tuesday August 20, 2024 at Massey Funeral home. Interment to follow at Nordheim Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kim Schuenemann, Anthony Yanta, Matthew Yanta, Keith Cornish, Kevin Cornish and Ryan Schuenemann.

The family would like to thank dads’ caretakers Gloria Villarreal, Betty Rosales, Samantha Naranjo, Eva Mirelez and Hospice of South Texas.
