Keep Cuero Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful , invites residents in Cuero to celebrate America Recycles Day (ARD) — held on Nov. 15 and the only nationally recognized day for recycling — by turning it into a month-long initiative that encourages simple, meaningful actions throughout November.
As part of this month-long celebration, Keep Cuero Beautiful will decorate a store front window in Downtown Historic Cuero emphasizing the proper way to recycle as to what materials can be recycled here. The window will also showcase the volume of materials collected at the City of Cuero’s Recycle Center during the last year including paper, plastics, cardboards, and tires among other items.
“For a small populated community, the citizens of Cuero do a great job in recycling here,” said KCB President Sara Meyer. Residents are encouraged to participate in the #AmericaRecycles 30-Day Challenge, a fun social media campaign that invites people to do one simple thing each day to recycle more and reduce waste. Follow @KeepAmericaBeautiful or Keep Cuero Beautiful on social media to find the daily challenge, share your actions, and inspire others.
You can also take the Greatest American Cleanup™ Pledge at kab.org/greatest to commit to recycling more and recycling right — helping keep your community clean, green, and beautiful.
