NISD was visited by firefighters from Texas A&M Forest Service and Nordheim Volunteer Firefighters as part of National Fire Prevention Week on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Students from K-4 through 8th grade were given presentations and hands on experience with some of the equipment as well as a goody bags.
NVFD also sponsored a poster contest. Winners were awarded $15 for first place, $10 for 2nd place and $5 for 3rd place. The department wishes to thank the Forest Service for their presentation.
