“Getting digs is a defensive stat in the game of volleyball, and one that requires grit, discipline, determination, and hustle,” said Head Volleyball Coach Leah Flores. “These are qualities that also describe our senior leader Caroline Kubesch. She is not afraid to get on the floor and sacrifice her body to keep the ball in play for her team. While digs don’t score offensive kills, they are the foundation of bettering the offense for the setters and hitters, positions in which Caroline has played and still plays. I think that’s what makes her such a valuable player, she has played every position on the court and knows the setter needs a good pass in order to give the hitter, also Caroline, a good set to score. Her senior season isn’t over yet and I plan on her racking up more stats to celebrate.”
